Data science is a fascinating field for students with an analytical bent of mind. Data affects every corner of modern life, including business, healthcare, pharmacology, architecture, education, real estate, or entertainment. All industries compile tons of data and make crucial decisions based on the analysis of that data. Businesses both large and small need data analysts who can analyze large quantities of data and help them make smarter choices based on that analysis.
A bachelor’s degree in clinical data science gives students a headstart in the field of data science. Many schools offer four-year online bachelor’s programs in data science to equip students with basic data analysis skills, such as the development of software programs, data security, and the creation of data visualizations. Some programs further delve into data structures, algorithms, programming languages, and operating systems.
As a data science graduate, students can look forward to lucrative career opportunities as data scientists, data consultants, technology analysts, data analysts, and business analysts. They can work in a wide range of fields and industries, both private and public.
Please note that clinical data science competencies can be developed through related programs in data analytics and data science since there are few undergraduate programs that focus exclusively on clinical applications.
The following guide details six exceptional programs in data science as well as three notable faculty members teaching them.
