Admission Requirements: To apply for the MSHA program at Trident University International, applicants must have a conferred bachelor’s degree from an accredited or nationally accredited college or university, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on their transcript from the most recently completed bachelor’s degree. In some cases, students entering with a degree in an unrelated field or without background experience in health may need to complete up to eight credits of prerequisite coursework.

Applicants are required to provide official transcripts for all prior academic work, and international students must submit proof of English proficiency and an official evaluation of any international credits. For graduate transfer students, any prior coursework must have earned a grade of “B-” or higher and be completed within the previous seven years to be eligible for transfer evaluation. There are no application or lab fees.

Study Plan: Structured for maximum flexibility, Trident University International’s online MSHA programs enable students to balance their studies with work and personal commitments. Most programs can be completed in as little as 12 months for full-time students. The curriculum blends core and elective coursework, with the no-concentration MSHA requiring 36 credits, MSHA programs with a concentration requiring 48 credits, and the dual MSHA/MBA degree requiring 64 credits. 

Students also complete a capstone course at the end of the program, which integrates knowledge from prior studies into a practical project. Classes are delivered 100 percent online, and courses start monthly, so students can begin their studies at almost any time of year.

Curriculum: Trident University International’s standard MSHA program (no concentration) consists of 36 credits featuring core courses in healthcare delivery systems; healthcare organizational behavior, development, and governance; healthcare policy; legal and ethical issues of health administration; introduction to quality assurance; healthcare finance; health information systems; healthcare leadership and strategy, and a capstone in health administration.

Students with a concentration in conflict resolution management or human resource management complete 48 credits, adding 12 specialized credits in their chosen field. 

Courses in the conflict resolution management concentration include foundations of conflict resolution management; mediation and arbitration; and negotiation strategies. The human resource management concentration includes courses such as human resource management; advanced topics in human resource management; and legal implications in human resource management.

The dual MSHA/MBA degree requires 64 credits and covers all MSHA core classes along with key MBA courses, including business ethics; management and organizational behavior; business analytics and decision making; accounting for decision making; strategic corporate finance; managerial economics; strategic marketing; and operations management for managers.

Online Experience: Designed for ultimate flexibility, Trident University International’s online MSHA programs allow students to access coursework, participate in discussions, and complete assignments from anywhere. The learning environment is entirely online, allowing students to set their own study schedule and pace. Through Trident’s EdActive learning approach, students research healthcare issues, propose solutions, and integrate feedback from faculty and peers. Faculty are responsive and regularly engage with students online.

On-Site Requirements: Trident University International’s MSHA programs are delivered entirely online, with no required on-campus or in-person requirements. All courses, including lectures, projects, and discussions, are managed through the university’s digital learning platform, allowing students to participate from anywhere in the world. There are no mandatory residencies, immersion events, or exams that require physical attendance.
