What to Expect from the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Online MS in Healthcare Administration
Admission Requirements: To apply for Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s online master’s programs in healthcare administration, community health, or health science, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum overall 2.5 GPA. GRE or GMAT scores are not required for admission to any of the three programs. There is a non-refundable application fee for both domestic and international students. Notably, work experience in a clinical discipline is required for applicants to the MS in healthcare administration and community health programs.
For the healthcare administration and community health programs, applicants must also submit a current CV or resume and meet one of the following four sets of criteria: hold a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field with either a 2.5 overall GPA, or a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 credits; or hold a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field and have completed at least six hours in a graduate program with a 3.0 cumulative GPA; or hold a bachelor’s degree in any field with a 2.5 GPA, in addition to a current resume, a letter of intent addressing academic goals, and two letters of recommendation; or hold a bachelor’s degree in any field and have completed at least six hours in a graduate program with a 3.0 GPA, in addition to a current resume, a letter of intent, and two letters of recommendation.
For the MS in health science program, a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA is required. No additional documents are needed beyond this.
Moreover, students in the healthcare administration or community health programs may transfer up to nine credits from another graduate program.
Finally, international applicants must also submit proof of English proficiency, unless English is their first language, or they hold a degree from a U.S. college or university, or they hold a degree from an English-speaking country.
