Park University Online MHA Programs

Park University offers an online MHA program through the Robert W. Plaster School of Business with 12 concentrations that can be completed in as few as 12 months. The MHA concentrations are: business analytics, disaster and emergency management, finance, general, human resource management, innovation and quality management, long-term care administration, management accounting, management information systems, marketing, nonprofit management, and project management.

The online MHA programs are founded upon the Healthcare Leadership Alliance (HLA) competency framework, which focuses on five domains of health care management, including communication and relationship management, leadership, professionalism, knowledge of the health care environment, and business skills and knowledge. The programs seek to develop essential soft management skills such as leadership, communication, and teamwork by embedding them in each course.

The MHA program and concentrations are designed for those who wish to pursue leadership and management positions in the health care industry. A bachelor’s degree in any field is required. No GMAT, GRE, or work experience is required. Start dates land five times per year–twice each in the fall and spring, and once in the summer. Blended courses are also available at some campus centers, which include a weekly in-class component and other online components.

Many faculty members are certified in effective teaching through the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE). Course delivery is asynchronous with opportunities for faculty/peer interaction through discussion boards.

MHA graduates may serve in a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, group practices, emergency rooms, mental health organizations, long-term care facilities, home-health organizations, health research institutions, rehabilitation centers, government agencies, medical billing and coding agencies, and health insurance companies.

Park University, headquartered in Parkville, Missouri, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The Park University MHA programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
