Maryville University Online MHA Programs - Senior Services, Healthcare Strategies, Data Management

Maryville University offers an online MHA with a general track or in one of four concentrations: senior services, healthcare strategies, population management, or data management. The curriculum is based upon the updated key competencies published by the American College of Healthcare Executives, including leadership, professionalism, communication and relationship management, knowledge of the healthcare environment, and business knowledge and skills. Each competency area intersects with the others to form a multi-dimensional, well-rounded degree, preparing students to lead teams and organizations effectively. Courses focus on management, analytics, collaboration, and marketing and reflect the ever-changing healthcare landscape.

In addition, the MHA program focuses on student/student and student/faculty interaction and provides various means to make this possible. The curriculum is designed to be collaborative and interactive, including discussions, online chatrooms, and conference calls. Students build a network of relationships with faculty, peers, and industry professionals throughout their coursework experiences.

Maryville University is located in St. Louis, Missouri, and leads the way in distance education programs. The MHA degree is one of many excellent online master’s programs, and professionals can apply with or without prior healthcare experience. The only prerequisite is a course in statistics. MHA program graduates have gone into roles such as medical and health services manager, nursing home administrator, and hospital administrator, as well as other positions in insurance, pharmaceuticals, government, private healthcare organizations, and state or county health services.
