What to Expect from the Bellevue University Online MHA

Admission Requirements: To apply for the Bellevue University online MHA program, prospective students must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or an equivalent degree from a nationally or internationally accredited institution. Applicants need a GPA of 2.5 or higher from their most recent 60 credits of undergraduate coursework, or a 3.0 or higher in previous graduate-level coursework. Transfer students can submit official transcripts for credit evaluation at no additional cost. GRE or GMAT scores are not required for admission.

To enroll, students must meet one of two options. Option 1 requires working at least 20 hours per week for a healthcare organization, which can include hospitals, clinics, long-term care providers, insurance companies, or similar organizations. Proof of employment should be provided with a resume upon application.

Option 2 allows students not currently employed in healthcare to submit a letter of commitment (LOC) from an organization in the healthcare industry.

A capstone project is also available that allows students an opportunity to demonstrate application of learning to a practical, real-life issue within their respective healthcare organizations.

Online Experience: Bellevue University’s online MHA program is built for flexibility, making it ideal for busy working professionals. All courses are 100 percent online, and students can access lessons and assignments whenever it best fits their schedule. There are no set class times or in-person requirements. Students participate in discussions, get feedback, and engage with faculty and classmates through email and online forums. A dedicated Student Coach is always available, helping students from enrollment to graduation. Online students will also have access to the university’s service desk for hardware and software support six days a week.

On-Site Requirements: Bellevue University’s online MHA program does not require any on-site or in-person attendance.
