MHA start dates land in the fall, spring, or summer semesters. The program requires 40 credits and may be completed in as little as two years, depending on the number of courses taken during each semester. The learning experience culminates in a capstone project with a healthcare organization designed to integrate prior coursework and experience.

What to Expect from the Concordia University Irvine Online MHA
Admission Requirements: Prospective students need a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or an international evaluation of the equivalent of a regionally accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree. A GPA of 3.0 or above in all previous college work is preferred. No GMAT or GRE test scores are required for admission.
Application materials include an online application, application fee, official transcripts, a 250-word statement of intent, a resume, and one professional reference.
Study Plan: Each fall, spring, and summer term consists of two seven-week sessions. Students take three units of coursework for each session, totalling six units per semester for a total of seven semesters. Additionally, students are required to take the professional development workshop four times at .25 units for a total of 1 additional credit over the course of the MHA program. Students may request prior approval from the program director to take up to six units in a seven-week session, reducing the total number of sessions and semesters to complete the degree.
Curriculum: The online master’s of healthcare administration comprises 40 credits including professional development workshops; fundamentals of healthcare administration; healthcare communication; healthcare economics and policy; healthcare operations management; healthcare law; healthcare strategic planning and marketing; healthcare quality assurance; healthcare information systems and technology; human resources management; financial management of healthcare organizations; leadership; vocation and ethics in healthcare management; and capstone practicum in health service management.
Online Experience: Concordia University Irvine uses Canvas as its online learning management system (LMS). Course delivery may include materials for various learning modalities such as video, audio, written, virtual reality, and live or recorded sessions.
Student services include career and vocational counseling, disability access services, international student services, the Abbey West campus ministry, veterans resources, wellness resources, the writing studio, and technical support.
On-Site Requirements: The online master’s of healthcare administration program does not require on-site visits.
