While GMAT waivers are normally available, the requirement is currently waived altogether for online MBA applicants. Admission Requirements: Getting into the online MBA program in health services administration at Barry University is a flexible and simple process. As of 2025, the university has temporarily waived the GMAT requirement for all online MBA applicants, making it easier for students to apply without standardized test scores. However, under normal circumstances, GMAT waivers are awarded based on a combination of relevant work experience and undergraduate GPA.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution along with a detailed professional resume, a statement of purpose, and official transcripts. During the application process, students must also select a study track. Either expedited, where they take two courses per seven-week term, or standard, where they take one course per term. Once chosen, this track cannot be changed without approval from an advisor.

For applicants with a 3.0 or higher GPA and at least two years of professional experience, the GMAT is normally waived. Graduates of a master’s degree program also qualify for a waiver. In some cases, applicants with a lower than 3.0 GPA may still receive a waiver if they can demonstrate strong academic performance and have at least two years of relevant work experience. On the other hand, applicants with a GPA of 3.0 but less than two years of experience are generally expected to submit a GMAT score of 400 or higher.

International applicants must submit an application fee, official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, and proof of English proficiency if their education was not in English.
